Rainbows Hospice Charity Walk 2024

This year’s sponsored walk to raise money for our chosen charity Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People took in some breath-taking views of Derbyshire.

The 10-mile circular route which started and ended in Bakewell, through the Chatsworth Estate, Edensor & Rowsley, was completed in 4 hours 45 minutes (including a stop for lunch). 14 Pektron employees enjoyed the challenge in fine weather and together raised nearly £2,000 for Rainbows. This money goes directly to the Hospice to help them care for hundreds of families every year who have a baby, child or young person with a serious or terminal illness that means that their lives will be shorter than most.

• £260 can help fund five hours of vital nursing care at Rainbows
• £700 could fund one week’s nutritious food at the Hospice
• £1,000 could pay towards physiotherapy in their hydrotherapy pool
