Pektron supports Woodland Carbon Code

In recognition of the environmental impact of our company car fleet, Pektron have decided to invest in the creation of new woodlands in the UK that will not only capture, over time, the CO2 emissions from our vehicles, but also provide significant other environmental and social benefits to the UK.

New woodlands capture CO2, with each new tree planted capturing 2kg of carbon dioxide each each year, and a quarter of a tonne in its lifetime.  In addition, the trees help reduce flooding, provide habitats for nature, capture other pollutants, purify rivers and offer recreational space for people.  These woodlands are certified to ISO standards under the UK government Woodland Carbon Code, and meet international environmental and carbon project rules.

This scheme is in addition to the legislative environmental controls that Pektron has in place to ensure high standards of environmental performance.
