Pektron Chairman receives MBE

The Chairman and founder of Pektron, Mr George Morgan has been formally recognised by Her Majesty the Queen in the 2014 New Year Honours List.

For his services to electronics engineering, he has been awarded an MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire). Delighted and honoured to receive such an accolade, Mr Morgan commented “I feel really honoured and surprised to receive this unexpected news and it is especially poignant to do so at the beginning of Pektron’s 50th year, this recognition is on behalf of the entire Pektron team who are all successfully working together to make us a real global force in the business of electronics design and manufacture”.

From humble beginnings in 1964, Pektron have expanded steadily to become one of Derby’s largest employers and a global provider of electronics design, development and manufacturing services to some of the world’s most famous brands.

This award is particularly special, as 2014 marks Pektrons’ 50th anniversary following another consecutive year of record business growth.
