Lord-Lieutenant presents Queen’s Award for International Trade

Following the announcement earlier in the year of being awarded the Queen’s Award for International Trade in 2017, Pektron was formally awarded the Grant of Appointment by the Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire on behalf of her Majesty the Queen.

In the presentation to the Board of Directors and in front of representatives across the company, The Lord-Lieutenant highlighted that Pektron should be extremely proud of its achievement and that being recognised with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise was “the real deal”, as Queen’s Award winners are chosen by a panel that includes the Prime Minister and leading figures from government and industry, making it the most sought after accolade for British businesses.

This view was echoed by John Potts, Sales Director at Pektron who formally thanked the Lord-Lieutenant for the award, and explained that the achievement really was a team effort, and much like a well-tuned orchestra, relied on everyone playing their part.

To achieve international sales growth of 250% over the last 10 years demonstrates the company’s constant drive for success, expanding both its UK and overseas markets, and John Potts explained that “achieving the award confirms we are doing all the right things, but it’s very much onwards and upwards as Pektron continues its strategy for long term growth”.
