Duke of Kent visits Pektron

It was with immense pleasure that the Chairman, Directors and employees of Pektron plc welcomed His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent to their global headquarters in Derby, United Kingdom on Thursday 7th March 2013.

John Potts, Sales Director of Pektron said “As one of the UK’s longest established and most successful advanced electronics manufacturers, our company is incredibly honoured to have been chosen to play host to His Royal Highness.  Since the announcement was made, there has been an immense level of excitement and anticipation throughout our business about the opportunity to showcase our record achievements.”

Following several years of sustained and unprecedented growth, the Directors were proud to demonstrate Pektron’s commitment to UK manufacturing, support of the local economy and to highlight significant success in export achievements.

The Duke of Kent received a tour of the campus showcasing Pektron’s extensive state-of-the-art electronics manufacturing facilities and meet employees who were delighted to show off the “Best of British”.

His Royal Highness was then invited by Pektron’s Managing Director, Neil Morgan, to unveil a plaque commemorating his visit to the facility.

John Potts said “It was with pride that we were able to explain and demonstrate to The Duke how close partnerships forged with our customers underpinned by continual investment has resulted in substantial expansion for Pektron.”

Potts added “With exports increasing year-on-year, plus record growth, not only was the Royal visit history in the making for Pektron, it was also one which will be cherished by all our employees for many years to come”.

Royal visit announced

With their 50th anniversary approaching, Pektron are delighted to announce that HRH The Duke of Kent will visit their UK technology campus on Thursday 7th March.

With a particular interest in successful high-tech companies, The Duke will receive a tour of the extensive electronics manufacturing facilities in Derby, United Kingdom and will see how continual investment and close partnerships forged with customers have resulted in significant expansion.

Sales Director John Potts said: “A Royal visit is very exciting and timely because we are enjoying record growth and unprecedented export business.

“At a time when there is much negative press about the state of the UK economy, it will be fantastic for the Duke to see first-hand how Pektron is excelling in a whole range of diverse markets.

“It will also generate a great deal of pride for our employees who will be delighted to show off the best of British.”
