117 new trees planted in 2015
A year on from Pektron’s investment in a scheme to create new woodlands, 117 new trees have been planted. This is a small part of nearly 1 million trees planted overall, but with each new tree capturing 2kg carbon dioxide each year, and a quarter of a tonne in its lifetime every tree helps make a difference. In addition, the trees help reduce flooding, provide habitats for nature, capture other pollutants, purify rivers and offer recreational space for people.
