Women Leaders in Electronics Finalist

Award finalist announcement

We are thrilled to share that our Principal Software Engineer, Ann Gray, is a finalist for the Electronics Weekly Women Leaders in Electronics Awards 2024. Ann is nominated in the hotly contested Woman of the Year – industry focused category.

Celebrating its inaugural year, Electronics Weekly Women Leaders in Electronics Awards recognises not only outstanding women who have made significant achievements, but also male allies, companies and teams who have made a positive impact throughout the electronics industry. The Awards are judged by an esteemed panel of key industry figures who will review the entries, deliberate in panels and elect the winners during a rigorous judging process. Winners will be announced on the evening of 23 April 2024 at the iconic De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London.

Ann was nominated by her colleagues and senior leaders at Pektron for her outstanding contribution to software engineering. Currently in her 43rd year as a software engineer – a superb achievement in itself – Ann started at Pektron in 2010, primarily on automotive products, and has managed many challenging projects to successful completion. Ann continues to develop her own software engineering skills, learning new techniques and deploying them to high acclaim. She is a fantastic mentor and coaches the team to exceptional standards and great effect. For the first time, our software engineering team is almost 50-50 gender split and this has been inspired, in no small part, by our role model Ann.

Thank you for your dedication Ann. To make finalist is a superb achievement and you are a winner in our eyes. Good luck!
