Pektron to build new tech centre

Pektron has been granted planning permission for a brand new technical centre on the site of its original manufacturing facility built on Alfreton Road, Derby in the 1970’s.
At over 25,000 sq ft, the new building will be set over 4 floors which will house specialist vehicle testing bays, Pektron’s electronics engineering teams and other electronics development facilities.
This investment is consistent with Pektron’s philosophy of long-term steady growth and comes on the back of their recent Queen’s Award for Enterprise, which recognised the company’s international growth, with over 60% of sales made internationally.
Neil Morgan, Managing Director at Pektron said:
“Our existing facility on Alfreton Road was originally built in the early 1970’s and we have reached a stage where the business has out-grown the building. We are going to create a brand new facility which can accommodate the very latest technology and provide an inspirational environment for our electrical engineers and staff.”
Work will start later this year and these artists impressions indicate what the building will look like.
