Pektron apprentice wins Toyota Manufacturing UK “Apprentice of the Year” Award

Pektron apprentices Sam Cotton and Jordan Jones swept the board, with Jordan runner up and Sam scooping the coveted Apprentice of the Year award.

Toyota Manufacturing UK partner with local businesses and their supply chain to jointly support 24 Maintenance Apprentices.  The apprentices work for the local businesses but spend their first two years with Toyota, who provide the initial training and support, before moving back into the business.

Sam and Jordan have just completed the first year of their 4 year Maintenance Apprenticeship and were awarded runner up and winner respectively.

Ian Harpham, Manufacturing Director at Pektron said:

“We are absolutely delighted that the attitude and skills of both our apprentices have been recognised and rewarded by Toyota.  Sam and Jordan work hard and we will continue to support them in their development over the next 3 years… and beyond.”
