Pektron has developed a wide range of electronics modules and electric vehicle electronics for Electric Vehicles. Building on our Automotive experience, we have worked not only with electric cars, but also electric HGVs, electric pick up trucks, and other more innovative Electric Vehicles.
Working with established manufacturers, as well as EV start-ups, we use our expertise to develop vehicles that reduce CO2 emissions, improve air quality and help protect against climate change.
Pektron understands the electrical architecture differences on EVs and our team, systems, and validation procedures are all able to deal with these differences.

Pektron has designed and developed a range of Electronic Modules for electric vehicles that include: access control, key fobs, instrument clusters, body controllers, seat controllers, security controllers, roof controllers, power liftgate controllers, domain controllers, and infotainment.

Software Expertise
The Pektron in-house software team has experience of C/C++ coding to MISRA standards and MATLAB modelling. Processes are in place to ASPICE guidelines. The team are familiar with all automotive interfaces, operating systems and tools including: CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, ISO14229 Diagnostics, AUTOSAR & CANoe.
Electric Vehicle Electronics Hardware Experience
Our in-house teams have all the necessary design experience covering all automotive design standards for communication links, processors and interfaces such as CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet; Embedded Systems; digital and analogue interfaces for harsh environments; with full knowledge of all automotive test standards and customer approvals processes.
Our Mechanical team use CATIA for enclosure designs that range from fully sealed units using laser welding to A surface finished parts using exotic materials and paint finishes. The Production Engineering team bring products to the production line using the best design for manufacture practices; and the PCB CAD team use Mentor PADs for multilayer PCB design including flexi-rigid.
Automotive Electronics Safety
All our automotive modules comply with the required safety standards, and we have experience with ISO26262 to ASIL B in hardware and software processes. We also interface with functional safety teams and auditors.

We are working on enhancing our access control products to bring in UWB (ultra-wideband) technology.
